Question

We're sealed by fate, by what is done

And in this state, we are the one

And though I'm known, most few have seen

The thread that's sewn, or what's between

Again, some good guesses, but nothing yet. I really didn't expect this one to last all that long. It just goes to show the difference between writing a riddle and reading one.

The answer is a tangible noun.

An Envelope?

Doesn't fit that last line though.

Nope

connection on this one

nice one wood... all over the place with this one

edit: forgot the smiley

Thanks. While not correct, your guess may or may not be on the right track.

We're sealed by fate, by what is done--some sort of action causes this state

And in this state, we are the one--a connection or switch is made

And though I'm known, most few have seen--maybe the inner workings of something common

The thread that's sewn, or what's between--the parts that make it work

First impression=soldered connections in a light switch or circuit breaker...

But starting to lean towards synapses and connections in the brain

Your intuitions are not all that wrong, but that's not what I am looking for.

light bulb

We're sealed by fate, by what is done - "we" implies separate items initially, brought togehter

And in this state, we are the one - they were sealed to become a single, new item

And though I'm known, most few have seen - "I" pronoun switch means that we are now talking of the new, combined item

The thread that's sewn, or what's between - "thread" could be the filament in an incandescent bulb, "what's between" the gas in the bulb that glows

I agree with dyalDragon. Very nice thought processes. The guess is incorrect, but you seem somewhat on the right track. Keep it up.

To keep this one moving...

You were actually almost spot on regarding what most of each line was trying to say.
