And, I kind of think this is as much a play on words as a what am I. Here's my explanation You may be a frequent speaker - idiom reference: guest speaker Yet here you can't reply - local reference: guests cannot reply here in the Den Surrounded by those unknown - hosts may not know their guests They really should supply - but are obliged to accommodate An alternate way to get us - alternate: GUEST Calls for gratitude, never rude - double meaning: calls for = requires or calls = visits Awarded special privileges - another idiom reference: guest privileges But still you won't intrude - this line I regret, at first had "you hate to intrude" but thought that too definitive. wish I had slotted shan't for won't so more maybe yes/maybe no.
