couple (ok more than a couple) of quick q's, since this is my first (ok, technically second but i was killed the first night of the first one)...

What happens in tied lynches?

What are the win conditions for the indies?

Is the peeping tom spying on the action of a player?

Does the Geek's protection during night 1 include protection from lynch during the next day?

Does the Hippy's kidnap extend into the next day?

How does the cop's role work?

Btw, maybe its me but...

when we write the game rules in colored type if you have a mac, you cant copy and paste them to an excel spreadsheet.

If any of you are having this issue copy the rules into the fast reply box at the bottom. Copy that type and it will allow you to paste onto an excel spreadsheet. Computers make everything so easy dont they???

True it is. We'll figure it out

What happens in tied lynches? No lynch

What are the win conditions for the indies? They need to be equal to or in the majority of the goodies and the baddies combined, because if they are equal then the reporters/neighborhood watch's words are more believable than those of the people in the house. (ie: 1 goodie, 1 baddie and 1 indie left, then indie hasn't won but can win if a goodie/baddie gets lynched/kill) (ie #2: 1 goodie 1yes baddie and 2 indies, indies win, 2 against 2, they're word wins)

Is the peeping tom spying on the action of a player? Yes

Does the Geek's protection during night 1 include protection from lynch during the next day? Yes, but the person he protects can still act at night

Does the Hippy's kidnap extend into the next day? No

How does the cop's role work? Cop kidnaps a person and has 1/3 chance of figuring out their role.

All other questions will be completely figured out by the start of the game.

Baddies: (have BTSC)

Killer: Commits murder every night

Peeping Tom: Odd # nights: Spying role, Even # nights: Blocking role

Shadow: Old school thief; 1/4 chance to steal a night action away from someone with hidden abilities

Goodies

CSI: Receives clues and evidence based on questions asked to host; Has BTSC with cop

Cop: Interrogates suspects and questions witnesses (kidnapes them and has a 1/3 chance at finding out som thing useful). Has BTSC with CSI

Hippy: Crazy, but can get a person high and kidnap them for the night

Sheer: Can see into the past and can figure out what a persons role was once they are dead. Has BTSC with Ms. Flower

Ms. Flower: Town Gossiper; can influence the lynching by making a vote count for triple or not count at all. Has BTSC with Sheer

Magic Player: Believes that the cards hold real creatures, and uses one of the cards abilities once per one day and night (48 hours)

Geek: Really smart, can protect someone from all actions against them for one day and night. (not shown in post)

Independents: (Have BTSC)

Reporter: can make a post in the night post once per night

Neighborhood watch: Odd # nights: can block any player of their choosing, can annoy player with a 1/3 chance of redirecting there ability

I've just had the time to look at the OP. I know you are going to write the win-cons down during the actual game post, but I have a few questions:

1) What are the limitations of the Reporter's post? Will it be an ambiguous one that makes it seems like it happened, or will it be known that it is a message?

2) How many questions can the CSI ask? Are there any restrictions?

3) What cards does the Magic Player have? Can he use them repeatedly (i.e. the same card after 48 hours)? This sounds like a fun role.

4) Neighborhood watch: The redirecting ability - is that his/her even night action or an additional perk on top of the blocking action?

5) What happens if Ms Flower was blocked for the night? Can she still use her Day vote ability, or does it just become 1?

Thanks!

I have some questions of my own.

1) Magic Player: Are the cards abilities kept secret or are they told in the night post

2) Hippy: The person kidnapped still has a vote for that day, correct?

3) Mrs. Flower: The manipulated vote does not have to be hers?

4) If someone is targeted by the Geek and then targeted by Mrs. Flower for a vote value change, the vote value does not change? Will Mrs. Flower know the action was voided?

You will know it is the reportes post. The other depends on how they write it out it could be anywere form "Look A Red Dog" to a long story.

2) How many questions can the CSI ask? Are there any restrictions?

Three pre night. yes ther are restrections.

3) What cards does the Magic Player have? Can he use them repeatedly (i.e. the same card after 48 hours)? This sounds like a fun role.

will be answred in game post

4) Neighborhood watch: The redirecting ability - is that his/her even night action or an additional perk on top of the blocking action?

A peark that is a role abbilty it all depends on the die

5) What happens if Ms Flower was blocked for the night? Can she still use her Day vote ability, or does it just become 1?

blocking is a night action

Thanks!

I have some questions of my own.

Game post

2) Hippy: The person kidnapped still has a vote for that day, correct?

yes

3) Mrs. Flower: The manipulated vote does not have to be hers?

no it does not

4) If someone is targeted by the Geek and then targeted by Mrs. Flower for a vote value change, the vote value does not change? Will Mrs. Flower know the action was voided?

The action will be void. No we will not tell her that does not mean she cant figure it out for herself

Adding to that:

6.) What happens if the Killer is removed? This game doesn't really look like it is balanced around the Baddies losing their kill.

I dont understand what you are asking. If the baddies lose ther killkid role it will be harder for them to win but they could mess up the goodie with ther other abilites

A perk that is a role abilty it all depends on the die. Also we took out the blocking action. Too strong of a role and yes it's her night action.

Ms Flower's role: When does she have to tell the hosts that she wants to change a player's votes?

Adding to that:

6.) What happens if the Killer is removed? This game doesn't really look like it is balanced around the Baddies losing their kill.

I dont understand what you are asking. If the baddies lose ther killkid role it will be harder for them to win but they could mess up the goodie with ther other abilites

The main reason SomeGuy thinks so, and I echo his thought, is this. Baddies get to kill at night is because they need to thin the goodie numbers out before they get enough information to figure out who's who. There are no other killing abilities, maybe the Magic Card Player does, but a 1/4 steal isn't that impressive. The other roles, like kidnapping and spying/information roles, are not that important to them - they just want to kill off the goodies enough to bring a lynch majority to themselves for a win.

I think the Indie's win con are to be the last ones standing as well. That would be quite difficult for them as the Reporter's ability is pretty unsubstantial.

The only reason how this could be justified could be the baddie to goodie ratio; 5 baddies in 2 factions:7 goodies. But the goodie has a role that could change anyone's vote to 3 or 0. Hmm... It's cutting it, but if the baddies somehow work together they might stand a chance should the killer be lynched.
