Hey everybody, sorry for not getting on today. I really messed it up for the goodies today but..... *sigh*

My car gave up on my yesterday and I spent the whole day today at the mechanic's.

I will only say three words.... YOU MESSED UP!!! You could have at least given me the benefit of the doubt because I wasn't even here to defend myself

Goodies, look closely at the voting patterns and you'll find most of the baddies.... I think

Oh and there are some people that could've vouched for me and probably didn't find a way to do it without outing me or himself.... Anyways, good luck guys :(

~Day 3: Ending of the End~

"YOU MESSED UP!" JarZe shouted as he was being dragged from the main deck of Command School. JarZe had just finished an intense and lengthy combat simulation in which he lead dozens of warships in their final invasion against the Bugger home planet - naturally JarZe made the whole battle look easy. He hadn't even been given much chance to defend himself before he was hauled from the Command Deck into the IF's gigantic assembly hall and auditorium. There, two security guards escorted him on stage and tied him to the executioner's post.

The Host entered, holding a glistening and swiveled blade. "Any last words, Jarze?" the Host asked. JarZe simply starred back at the Host and the audience that had gathered to watch his execution. His eyes shone in that emotionless and cold way only a warrior's can when faced with imminent death. "Tell Mazer Rackham I'm sorry for letting him down." With that, the Host slide his blade smoothly and silently across JarZe's throat. His blood and his life poured steadily from the wound. With it went Humanity's only hope of defeating the Buggers in the final Formic War.

There are so few of us left the actions can't take long 24 hrs should be enough

I think Clozo's right - we have two killers out there - we have only lynch now! We need the Virus to help us tonight as a liller who needs at two drones if Jz got info about eeep as a drone, he would not have acted blind.

Not gonna win but lets try to make a game of it.

CP was blocked N3 so she aint queen.. either drone or the non acting virus or blocked virus, we could take a chance and leave her, block someone else nut don't wast a save or divert unless you know where to redirect

Reaymond started the Jz thing perhaps a drone, Kat poked at CP who did not react or give a clue as to which baddie she is

We can't avoid RID (block or save) if identified already - it's unstopable I think. So save or block with a little thought and they may at best hit the Virus.

If they lost the spy drone we have a chance though two of us are clearly marked. I'm hoping now thgat it is the lynch drone(eeep) thyat went down as we get more control tomorrow, if we have Peter we have a chance - If you have a self save peter use it

My actiion in, lets get this one over with! Virus, Queen and two drones to get.

well that sucks....

We can hardly blame anyone for that though, because even though the bandwagon started Jarze just didnt defend himself.

I wasn't home all day!!!

The benefit of the doubt (or the absent) would've been nice... -_-

Thanks anyways SD, this was cool!!! Hope to see you soon ;)

ah I am back!!! Nice computer..good computer..

OK I have read what everyone has said, and I have agreed with most everything.

Remember you all.. no goodie killing roles! And our back up for ender is gone too.

I think weve been totally played. The best thing we can do is hope there are some saving roles alive

to save the most important players. I do not think I am that important so dont use it one me. Use them on confirmed goodies pls.

your off target there I switched, based on what Social said and Lime of course, and way too much info btw

Ender - your target is painted for tonight I think. Now go crazy with those guns of yours, some special mercury soft tip bullets me thinks

Dunno if I'm in time, but two others are still to vote. CP has comp trouble but could blackberry mssg to SD, and ML is well, dunno!

A bagel is calling me at Brick Lane E1 :)

Ok i see that LIS is telling ender to go after me..crazy as it seems...

Seeing as Jarze was the ender..and is dead now..but didnt go after me..thanks btw but I wish he had gone after me.

I would have been outed as a goodie and the scope of suspicion would have been narrowed.

I could be wrong though.

But wouldnt it be funny if Lis was the virus?

edit:

A bagel is calling me at Brick Lane E1 :) Some kind of code? Bzzz Bzzzz

ok I have a theory here...

there are a few very inactive players that are usually very active.

Since this game is filled to the gills with mafia vets, could it

be that the quiet ones are buggers? Could they be so worried about

getting caught that they are playing dead or just posting the min. amount?

This is a whole new game when you cant accuse a player of noobishness.

So the buggers basically have us. LIS suggested a possible course of action

that I am all over...have fun till were done. And we only have

one player that could extend the chance that we win.

I dont know who many of the roles belong to but hope the virus does.

If you are out there virus, do you need help with knowing who to kill?

If its an RID do you need to know who to target and their role?

I for one know there is a saving ability out there still. Anyone

know if there is another? I think

we should join forces and get rid of the buggers. So, if we save the

only semi good player, virus, would you be our killing machine?

Ive tried to do my part but have been blocked, had my target changed,

and some odd secret ability used on me. This may be our only hope!

You would think so, but at it stands AT THE END OF NIGHT 4, I have less than half of the required actions. I am extending Night 4 until 4pm EST Tuesday. If your action is not in by then, you will be replaced. I don't care if I have to replace 6 of you guys... get those PMs in please!

Just thinking....my lord who could SD get???? How is the recruitment going?

Was thinking...might be nice to play an original old school mafia. Like Unreality's

mafia oasis.

Alright, Night 4 has ended. I have all PMs except one.

Tonight's post is kinda loopy from a Host's perspective so I will do my best to get the important points across without revealing too much information. If there is any confusion, I will try to clear that up without spoiling anything. Give me a little bit to write it up :)

~Night 4: All's Fair in Love and Biological War~

Col. Graff sat behind his desk, staring intently at his computer screen. He pressed the intercom button and summoned two IF soldiers to his office. “Men, I want you to find and detain Lost In Space. Throw him in the brig until we are able to run a recognition scan...I just don’t trust him.” Without pause, the soldiers saluted Col. Graff, located LIS and arrested him. He was not to be released until the following evening.

In the International Fleet’s outpost on the asteroid Ethos, Reaymond was studying up on Bugger anatomy. The asteroid itself used to be one of the Bugger’s forward most scouting posts before the IF military was able to storm the stronghold and take it over. As such, there were volumes of information on the Formic species at the IF’s disposal. Reay was reaching into his bag for a bottle of water when he started to feel light headed. The pages on the library screen began to blur and he was starting to see spots. His temperature spiked and he started sweating profusely. Recognizing the symptoms as Descolada, he quickly reached back into his bag where he kept an emergency first-aid kit; the kid contained a potent antiviral serum. What Reay did not know was that the antiviral serum was only effective against the initial infection and incubation periods of the Descolada Virus. Once the virus had begun to mutate the host’s DNA, there was no humanly-known way to stop it. Reaymond injected himself but within a few short moments he had blacked out and lost consciousness.

Strangely however his body was still animated and appeared to be awake. The Descolada Virus had infected him and was preparing to use Reay’s ability for itself before killing him off permanently. Reay rose from his seat in the library and began to head towards the Main Operations room on Ethos. At the same time, an almost invisibly black attack ship was landing on an Ethos runway. The ship bore the unmistakable alien insignia of the Hive Queen and her drones. In other parts of the galaxy, the Hive Queen had been able to ID the Descolada Virus’ weak-points and develop what essentially amounted to a Bugger cure. The Buggers had tracked the Descolada to Ethos and planned to exterminate it once and for all.

Seeing the ship land and the Buggers headed towards the compound through Reaymond’s eyes, the Descolada quickly began pulling apart Reaymond’s DNA and trying to bind with it to save itself from the Queen’s attack. This was evident from the arm and shoulder spasms Reay began exhibiting. Recognizing the symptom, one of the Queen’s drones fired a tranquilizer dart at Reaymond and hit him in the neck. The dart contained a compound which does not kill the Descolada but effectively immobilizes the virus and blocks it from acting within the host. Reaymond stopped shaking and fell to the floor.

The Queen walked over to Reaymond’s limp body and stared at it for a moment through her hexagonal-lensed eyes. She reached into a hard, black casing and pulled out a large and menacing needle. Inside the needle, a purplish ooze was glowing. She stuck the needle into Reaymond’s chest and injected him with the antidote to the Descolada. The antidote works on the genetic level much the same way the Descolada does. The antidote binds itself with the open protein receptors on the virus. Once attached, the antidote begins leeching protein strands from the Descolada, which weakens it before eventually using up the bound antidote. The Descolada, missing vital proteins and its receptors destroyed, is unable to survive and dies off.

Inside Reaymond, a war of nano proportions had just begun. The Descolada fought viciously to prevent the antidote from attaching. Here and there, individual strands of the virus began turning purple and shriveling up. Reaymond’s body was now soaked in sweat and flushed bright red. Thinking the antidote had done its job, the Hive Queen and two of her drones boarded the ship and departed. The Descolada struggled to keep itself away from the antidote in Reay’s blood and tissue membrane. It moved quickly from organ to organ, tissue to tissue, trying to stay ahead of the purple ooze coursing through his veins. Unable to escape the antidote any longer, the Descolada was caught and bound at its protein strands. In a last ditch effort, the Descolada decided to start shedding large sections of its receptors, keeping only its genetic code and infectivity segments alive. The antidote was now binding to the free protein strands instead of the Descolada and was eventually neutralized. What survived and emerged then was an evolved form of the Descolada Virus.

The new Descolada was without its protein strands and therefore unable to evolve again in the future. In addition, the Descolada was unable to remain in Reaymond’s body since much of his DNA had been destroyed in the battle. Without any abilities at the moment and without a host, the evolved Descolada floated out of the IF outpost and off of the asteroid Ethos in search of someone or something new to infect.

Reaymond’s body was unable to handle the bombardment of virus and virucide. Much of his DNA was torn into pieces and never repaired by the Descolada. Blood seeped from his pores. His stomach and chest cavity bloated from internal bleeding and his skin became clammy and cold. Within minutes his whole body began to discolor and turn to mush. Medics immediately rushed to him upon seeing the Buggers leave but were unable to do anything for him.

Meanwhile, in the brig of Command School, Lost In Space sat nervously in his cell while several red lasers panned back and forth. On a monitor at the guard station, data was streaming across rapidly when all of a sudden it stopped. In large bold letters the scanning program displayed:

SCAN COMPLETED - MATCH

Name: Lost In Space

Species: FORMIC

Finally a good night. One baddie kill interrupted (blocked?), the other baddie kill directed towards the Virus, and a bugger outed. So, I suppose that leads to the age old "baddie is outed" question. The obvious choice is to vote for him (and I think we should pretty much just do that. We can't really afford to take chances), but at the same time I would caution against getting too caught up on that. I think if we go over LIS's posts in the past, we may be able to figure out the other buggers, and maybe even the Virus.
