Question

1. It’s a ritual to shake up soda-pop in England. (9)

2. The ball player left his card in a locker. (8)

3. 600 Little Rock Place exists, father. (5)

4. Small cars aim for the industrial group. (8)

5. A racist left pick-up to check piece. (6)

6. A non-believer is puzzled at this energy. (7)

7. Shoot 500 with half joking Nirvana front man. (6)

8. The leader is not failing for some reason after the bubble burst. (4)

9. The brother’s house was finally closed after an evil beast ate one of them. (9)

10. I am including some initial length to my submission. (5)

These are probably pretty easy. The number in parentheses is how many letters. These may not be like other POW puzzles that I have seen here. These are more like Cryptic Crossword clues.

That is correct but can you show your reasons please?

it is puzzled, aka hidden, here.....at this energy

the AT, THIS, and the E from energy rearranged gets you ATHEIST

3. I assume Little Rock Place is AR. All I can get from the rest is 600 = DC. ???? right track ????

I was kinda looking at that one too

Maybe exists=IS

father=DAD or PA

either way these are crazy hard, I am seriously struggling but these are my fave kinds of puzzles

Try writing 600 out in words.

exist = is = "="

I kind of have to give the part of this one since I sort of screwed #3 up Im thinking I should have worded it

600 little rock's place father.

Not as sure of this one as I was of the others.

bishop

a racist left = bias - a = bis

pick-up = hop

bishop = check piece (chess piece)

You got the word

racist left, bias - the left side of the word = BI

pick up = SHOP (according to the thesaurus)

check piece = chess indeed

Keep it up Dudley Dude you are on a roll! :)

A little late but think am starting to catch on. Still pretty doubtful on this one but...
dharma?

Sorry PG that is wrong.

These type usally have two parts:

a clue and a riddle...but you have to figure out which is which.

For example

6. A non-believer is puzzled at this energy.

"A non-believer" is the clue

"puzzled at this energy" is the riddle.
