The brother’s house was finally closed after an evil beast ate one of them.

the brother's house = monster (evil beast) + y (from finally closed or end of finally and coming after evil beast) and a (one) and ate referring to the a inside the others = monastery

Edit: Nevermind, now see this one's already solved.

1. It’s a ritual (to shake up soda-pop) in England. (9)

am stuck on eucharist as the ritual. pop=christ, in England might get the E, but the rest? see eu between shake and up but cant connect

You are barking up the wrong tree. It's not quite that complicated.

This one is sort of a two stager. It may help to think of soda pop brands.

episcopal. I think I spelled that right.

Even though I did not do too great with this riddle I thought it was awesome. It got you thinking in different ways and they were very clever. I'd love to see more in the future. Thank you, hugemonkey.
