Question

Using the atomic symbols/letters of the periodic table of the elements, can you construct a 13-letter word?

Just so you don't have to strain and stare at table like I'd been doing all day in my classes, here's a handy, broken-down guide...

AL AR AS AG AU AT AC AM

B BE BR BA BI BH BK

C CL CA CR CO CU CD CS CE CM CF

DB DY

EU ER ES

F FE FR FM

GA GE GD

H HE HF HG HS HO

I IN IR

K KR

LI LA LU LR

MG MN MO MT MD

N NE NA NI NB ND NP NO

O OS

P PD PT PB PO PR PM PA PU

RB RU RH RE RN RA RF

S SI SC SE SR SN SB SG SM

TI TC TE TA TL TB TM TH

U

V

W

XE

Y YB

ZN ZR

As an example, a 12-letter word I came up with is "necrophiliac" - NE CR O P HI LI AC

See what the longest word you can come up with is.

I read some where there are 26811 of them and 56407 ways to write them.

hypothalamicohypophyseal (24)

the longest one i can think of... thermodynamical oh and blasphemousness.

You can also combine Florine Uranium Carbon and Potassium to form a word that would surely get you booted off the forum.

If all the letters but 'Q'and 'J' are in the periodic table, most words can be created...like 'antidisestablishmentarianism' Right?

nevermind...must use the whole symbol name, not just letters included in the symbol...
