Question

The strangest thing just happened...

When it came it was no surprise,

it constantly seeks our demise.

It comes to us all the time,

you wouldn't bet it for a dime.

I guess that it could have been worse,

I'm lucky to be writing this verse.

When the bell rang we ran inside,

when it comes it's best to hide.

When it came I wasn't scared,

I was just glad we were prepared.

Is this the story of the hurricane?
;)

Nope. Northern. But, again, keep thinking allong those lines.

P.S. when I say just happened, I mean a few minuetes ago(it's even still happening, just the worst has past).

My last post was a legitimate guess but also a pun...

The story the Hurricane (Ruben Carter) by Bob Dylan.

Anyways: Dust Storm

Closest one so far, bot no(I'm not near a shore, but it was caused by water).

for a second I thought you were talking about Ike, And I'm like,"I'm south, but not that south!"

snowstorm, blizzard? but bell rang... does sound more like a tornado, with warning siren

What I meant for northern: In the previous post I had sald to look at the first two letters of my 'name,' and when they guessed the story of the hurricane I thought they meant Ike, but I'm northern Texas, but I'm south for some peples standards.

Now you guys got it! First a thunderstorm, which caused a tornado and flash flood.

Just for the record I guessed "Electical Storm" many posts ago and you said no to it.... Perhaps it was because of what I called it, but electrical storm = lightning storm (thunder and lightning come together). That's why I was confused

The poem was actually reffering to the tornado, which was caused by the thunder storm.
