Use my service and I'll shake my head

Untie my tail and I'll be dead

Pull my back and I'll get straight

Just relax and let me operate

Who am I?

Awesome riddle!!! I have no idea. Let me think a bit. (I'm pretty drunk, right now, so not likely I'll get it)

I know you just did one like this, so I'm likely wrong, but...

a mouse?

Wow, you're right, but that's an awesome answer to this riddle. What a great idea, to take two different perspectives to the same answer twice in a row.

Deleting the last letter of vader, we get "vade", which means "to fade"(or, vanish). So my guess, would be "vader", but this only fits the second line, and not most of the other lines.
