My irony riddles are riddles which are taken from something that actually happened to me and was ironic. So in guessing the ironic twist, you must find a plausible, likely ironic situation to fit my riddle. Have fun, and good luck:

While writing a riddle, I heard a strange noise.

A strong sound of water, I adjusted my poise.

Straining to hear what usually I cannot,

While outside, no water; it is dry and hot.

Having good instincts, I knew it wasn’t right.

I rushed downstairs and turned on the light.

The sink for the washer, a strong overflow

Water pouring onto the ground, below.

Luckily there was a floor drain to take the water away,

For you’d never guess what I was washing today.

Towels. That's exactly what I was washing. ALL my towels. So lucky for that floor drain, RIGHT there where it was spilling.
