Hey, fog. Welcome to the Den. It is customary, here, to hide all of our guesses inside a spoiler which you will find as a button you click on your left when answering a post.

The truth is, I’m both verb and noun

And have uses, like help hold down

Parties who wish to fly away

Even though, how little I weigh

it isn't

leash is it?

comma? but i thought sentences ran on, not flew away...

Nope. It's a physical thing. As with most of these guesses, the act of using it is the same name of the object.

I would have said this, accept for the part about noun and verb. Is this able to be a verb?

I seem to remember a song that said "comma, comma, comma, come along with me.. " just kidding, no it can't so

break? for line breaks

You're crazy! You can't say that you think it's too broad and lame and anything could fit if you do that, silly. It's amazing what the human eye is so capable of missing. Great riddle, and SO much fun.

Tape

Hahaha, finally we can put this vague riddle to bed. Congrats lotus!!

And for the list I compiled of all the answers that fit, but weren't what I was looking for:

In no particular order: rope, string, tie, pin, tack, tether, strap, staple, nail, clip, lace, hand, gel, glue, stake, bind, bolt, and my personal favorite, contract

Sorry if I missed any
