Question

Since all my riddles answers

will be plain for you to see.

Then Heyupal will mix the words

and make them hard to read.

Like... “A nepny veasd si a nnpye reande”

is quickly deciphered and easily read.

Then as you can see Ben F. had to speak

the quote that you now have in your head.

Solving the riddle(s?) will not be the quotes,

Nor the speakers for I know that you can.

The quote is the clue, but the answer I seek,

Be commonality of woman or man!

So come with me and let’s just see

how many you get today....

I’ll start with just three quotations

and wish you much fun, let’s play!

#1

Het slaw fo ratune rea tub eht teamhtamlica soutghth fo Odg.

#2

Ton thaw ew ehva utb twah ew joney, sinstoutect uro danbecaun.

#3

Ew vile ont sa ew shiw ot, tub sa ew acn.

Footnote:

I could not find anything like this when I searched.

If liked.....Heyupal has more! <~~~Illeism!! :D

Cool format from the heyupal.
something like gratitude?

Nope, unscramble the quotes, identify who said it and make the connection. The connection should be obvious if you perform the first 2 steps! :D And thanks for the compliment!

Way to hit it out of the park, Heyupal. Can't translate the last word of the second line yet so I'm stuck. I got the other 2 quotes, but can't figure out who said the first one. Grroowlll. Will keep working at it, though. This is very clever. Well done.

1: "The laws of nature are but the mathematical thoughts of God." Euclid

2:" Not what we have But what we enjoy, constitutes our abundance." Either John Petit-Senn, or Charles Spurgeon

3: "We live, not as we wish to, but as we can." Menander

Yeah, I guess the only thing that I see as a connection is contentment.

#2 is incorrect. You have the quote but not the speaker. Once you get that you should see the connection!

Ok, I had to get some help, but this is what I came up with...

1. The laws of nature are but the mathematical thoughts of god ~Euclid

2.Not what we have but what we enjoy, constitutes our abundance ~Epicurus

3.We live not as we wish to but as we can ~Mencius

So the commonality is they were all ancient philosophers? (between 400 & 200 BCE)

It's all greek to me.

PG nails it!! :D

#1 Euclid - Greek Scientist/Mathematician 365BC - 275BC

The laws of nature are but the mathematical thoughts of God.

#2 Epicurus - Greek Philosopher 341BC - 271BC

Not what we have but what we enjoy, constitutes our abundance.

#3 Menander - Greek Poet 342BC - 292BC

We live, not as we wish to, but as we can.

Connection!!!!

All Greeks living at the same time.

Bit of senseless trivia! They also lived too be 90, 70 and 50 years old! (Arguable historical fact!)

New one coming out!
