Question

If nothing else, maybe it could be considered beautiful. I like this one, myself. : )

Hear the sound of the dark, sad song.

Old monks chanting, loud and long.

The clanging crash of pealing chimes.

Let you know, these are lamenting times.

A requiem played in the darkest hour.

For here we mourn the death of a flower.

Lotus, I'm not even guessing on this one, I just wanted to tell you that this is a beautiful, fantastic riddle/poem. I love it!

Oh, thank you deanna. Even if nobody likes it much as a riddle, I really like it as poetry. : ) Glad you do, too.

Great job Lotus. This time you really have me stumped!

NO! I do toot my own horn on this one. : ) Haha.

Yeah, it's actually much simpler and easier than it appears. But, I'll let it sit and see what happens to it, throughout the day.

It is a very pretty riddle, I really love the last line.
Does it have anything to do with a religion like buddism or something or possibly teaching

No, it does not.

Thank you

are we to guess the death of some flower? what are we going for :S it's written very poetic like, and so the objective isn't really clear to me. I can't get past the beautiful structure of it XD

There is no hidden meaning in my riddle. All that is written in it, is there because a flower died. We don't need to figure out "what the flower really is, or represents, or anything." Just, something died: a flower. Do you understand?
