Question

Posted · Report post

Twelve people signed up for my class.

But 10 days was all it would last.

Then, if they wanted more, they’d have to pay.

And then it would last for 30 days.

Twelve people signed up because it was free.

Or in another sense, were they paid by me?

A JURY

Yeah, I'd have to agree with this answer. Question, and maybe I missed something. Why do you number your riddles? And what will happen at 100?

A JURY

That's not the answer, but you are supposed to have that thought in mind, to direct you to my answer. You're close.

I'm writing a book:

?

Riddles by Lotus

100 hundred riddles to tease your brain

(something like that)

the jury gets paid by the state, indirectly, by the taxpayers.

The "class" isn't jury duty. They signed up for my class because it was free. Only in another sense is it "jury duty, as the last line implies."

so it is like a jury only in sense that tax payers also pay for this, or it actually has something to do with a jury? Court case? Criminal?

It has nothing to do with tax payers. Your very last thoughts are on the right track.

no. no need to guess what the class was actually about. Just that they signed up for it ('cause it was free for 10 days)
