Question

How sweetly I can sing

When talent joy doth bring,

And also mark the part

To show your love of art

My anger can help pierce

I aid the cold and fierce,

We sought and found new places

I went first in all those cases

Yet my fondest, first success

Is those who love you to impress.

Hello FloriGator :)

That's not it, the answer will make every line of the riddle really obvious

Also you know I'm not big on abstract terms

voice, speech, words

this btw is a great great guess, keep thinking in those terms

find something which will also fit the line about finding new places...

the wind?

no, you were closer with your previous guess - not as in the answer being similar - but as in, you are looking at the riddle correctly

no to all again

let me point out e couple of hints you already have

first the name of the topic-riddle should tell you something about how to read it

second, the riddle is in rhyming couplets, why?

could each couple of matching lines be little riddles all part of a big riddle?

"heart of hearts?"

i don't see how you got that... hm

as always i am looking for a simple solution, the clues are as literal as possible and i am never looking for an abstract answer

look at the clue i gave above

this should be MAJOR help

can you break the riddle apart and ask yourself "what is it" again and again?
