Got the stomach.....for my first?

Question

This may be too easy but it is my first. (Although I'll probably never end up a Lotus or Shakeepuddn) Feedback is appreciated. Thanks! ^_^

My first riddle, I think, should be easy to see,

Held high in esteem, like the great redwood tree.

The first word of the answer’s alimentary you seek,

The second’s the opposite cowardice and weak.

The answer I seek be a great attribute,

Sorry the last line of this riddle's not so cute.

:duh:

It's not here!

did you mean to have a comma after 'opposite'? (line 5)

or the word 'of'?

strong for the second but i got nothing for the first

I hope it doesn't end up being too hard. I'll let it ride for a bit before I start giving a lot of hints.

But for those of you who can't wait....

I wrote this with antonyms in mind, or at least it's how I chose my words.

I used synonyms also. I don't want to confuse anyone.

Not sure how you got there Duchess but sorry, not it!

i connected ailmentary with nurturing, as in the sun. and heart to courage, the opposite of coward. i tend to think a bit to deeply sometimes

Here's something to make this a little easier.

[spoiler=Super Hints  (I think)]Held high in esteem, like the great redwood tree. <~~~Impressive and regarded highly.

The first word of the answer’s alimentary <~~~(synonym of first word of riddle answer) you seek,

The second’s the opposite cowardice and weak(ness)<~~~(Antonyms of second word of riddle answer).

The answer I seek be a great ATTRIBUTE <~~~What the answer is!
