Question

Posted · Report post

I was born of riches high,

Born below the heavens I.

My happy home was all I knew,

Until my master greedy slew.

My voice was golden, vibrant, clear,

I sang a song in captive fear.

Tendons taught with unarmed might,

I set the good and bad in flight.

Up or down I have no kin,

But I was last to feed the sin.

The sixth line gave it away for me. One good thing about my particular brand of ADD: Sometimes certain details just jump out at me. It's good for pattern recognition.

So Grayven got it?

That was my first thought, and then I thought, well Master Shakee never is THAT specific... no farting dogs, right?

But I'm glad that was the right answer! Very good riddle indeed.

Golden (magic) harp, from Jack and the beanstalk.

The harp was happy with the giant and so cried out when stolen by the thief, Jack. Jack was greedy and the harp was the last of three teasures he stole. Who is the villain in the story? jack of course. Just ask Matthew Modine.

Good call Grayven. My family watched as I created it, and were as amazed as I when you you chopped it down so swiftly. Kudos!
