Question

As Zack was walking down Cherry Blvd, he noticed something that caught his eye.

There! Look! As he ran toward the scene, a man took a picture of the accident.

In the accident, a man was trapped under a fallen tree. The tree looked burnt, but had moss all over it.

Around the scene, it was all over it.

As Zack called 911, the operator asked where he lived.

Zack replied with #### Cherry Blvd, Gorden, Missisipi.

What was the fateful accident that Zack saw?

Probably completely useless information but..../

There was a Hurricane Gordon that hit Mississippi last year. So it was a cherry tree, knocked over by hurricane Gordon, in Mississippi........ with a rope in the conservatory.....

B)) [edit] - it may not have actually hit the coast officially, but it messed some stuff up.

I think im on to something

The man who was taking the picture was his neighbor and he wanted to snap a shot of the landslide that was about to cover his house when he saw a man trapped under a tree floating down the flowing mudslide. The police having had so many calls already from others who were further up hill from them and there only concern was to find out which way the mud was flowing. Maybe?

Hmm the phrase "Around the scene, it was all over it." could possibly mean;

The police (it) were around the scene and had everything covered (all over it).

Idk too many its. lol

So the river overflows because of heavy rain, causing a mudslide. The man taking the picture is a reporter, who is already at the scene because the mudslide has already been reported. When he calls 911, they ask him where his home is to tell him whether or not his home is in danger, and whether he should even return to his home right now.

Or, if not a mudslide, then a flood.

im not much of one to be a critic, as im a super amatuer, but im not a big fan of the style of this riddle. Unless we are all way off track, it seems like you just thought up a random natural disaster and want us to guess what you're thinking. but hey, i could be wrong and this might turn out to be a very nice riddle.

in a addition to modus operandi...

he was hallucinating

lightning struck a tree while a man was eating lunch under it. hgot stuck and a stormy rain came and flooded the area. next the flood started a mudslide and covered most ground area and the wet soggyness of the rain on the tree made it get covered in moss. and the a tornado, hurricane came past and blew all the moss around while it was still raining and moss grew some more on the mud. probz wrong thou

The man under the "burnt" tree was a caveman. A contractor that was digging a hole for a project unearthed the petrfied tree with the bones pinned under it. The accident happened 10,000 years ago.
