My guess it is the black (P).

This is a guess, but each of the other 3 has a quality that makes it unique. The (P) is the only one that has no unique feature.

(P) is red, no other is red.

[P] has brackets all the others have parentheses

(Q) is the letter Q all the rest have P's

(P) is not unique in color, letter, or container. It is the odd one out because it doesn't have a unique feature (in my messed up logic)

Which is the odd one out?

(P) [P] (P) (Q)

(P)? Its the only one that doesnt have anything different from the rest.

(P)(Red) has a different color

[P] has brackets, not parenthesis like the rest

(Q) has a different letter than the rest

You are right, although one could argue towards any one, this is the best answer.

Damn it, beaten to it. The answer is:

(P) is the odd one out because each of the other three are odd-one-out's. That is, (P) is the odd-one-out, for not being an odd-one-out.

But in this lies a paradox, since now it is an odd-one-out, making it not the odd-one-out.

Just something to think about =)

There is not one symbol that is truly the odd man out

They all have one thing in common

So if you go by the rule of two things differnt to be the odd man out,

they are all the odd man out

The Red(P) is the only red

The [P] is the only one with brackets

The (Q) is the only one with a Q

The (P) is the only one that have shares something in common with the other three
