Question

Shakeepuddn    4

Sentries silent, in the right,

Ten in all the team,

Guarded vile servant tight,

Who stood against his queen.

She served along with husband well,

And all bowed to the one,

The winner left who begged to tell

The victory soon won.

Upon the field these warriors lie

In armored suit arrayed,

Be it love or money, tool or leaf,

They soundly won the day

Is this about chess? The queen and King obvious but the vile servants being pawns?

Sorry, this is not about what you believe it to be.

Try again.

And Romulus, there are no typos.

Sorry for not putting that in a spoiler. New to the forums. Wish I could edit the above post. Don't even know if it's in the right direction or not.

Could it be Euchre?

Sentries silent, in the right, -Right Bauer?

Ten in all the team, -a team in Euchre has 10 cards

Guarded vile servant tight,

Who stood against his queen.

She served along with husband well,

And all bowed to the one, -One who "bows" would be a "bower" or "bauer" (play on words)?

The winner left who begged to tell -Maybe Left Bauer?

The victory soon won. - Each round is pretty quick...

Upon the field these warriors lie

In armored suit arrayed,

Be it love or money, tool or leaf, - 4 suites of the cards...any of which could be trump

They soundly won the day

Obviously not an explanation for all of the lines, but seems to fit alright...
