Got me then, because the original sequence is 1^2, 5^2, 3^2, 9^2, 7^2.. which would logically extend to 13^2, 11^2, 17^2, 15^2, 19^2. The pattern is add 4, subtract two - square the result each time.

I think this is right, my initial error is that the real sequence was +4, -2, +6, -2 which extends logically to +8, -2, +10, -2, +12 - obviously squaring all the results.

You are correct. I think you mis typed it. Try my next one.

169,121,289,225,,441

you put

169,121,289,225,361

361 would have been the next number.
