family of seven

Question

This one's probably been done on here before.

But I'm gonna try it anyways.

Lee's parents have five children, the names of the first four are

La, Le, Li, and Lo.

What's the name of the fifth child?

So they have two children named Lee (or some variation thereof?) That would be a bit confusing.

No, actually they don't.

PS. This is the oldest riddle in the book. Not a bad one, though

I would think that "Li" and "Lee" would be pronounced the same as opposed to "Le" and "Lee". Of course, after five kids, parents are allowed to just point and yell.

It should be "Lu" with the fifth vowel

Strange that a Chinese family would name their children after the

vowels of the English language. The fifth child's name is Lu.

Okay, for those who are saying the answer is Lu, you're wrong and here's why:

Lee's parents have FIVE children, FOUR of which are NOT LEE, therefore the fifth child IS Lee. Get it now?

yeah, that's the whole point, to trick you

the first word is "Lee's" then comes "parents" so obviously Lee must be one of the kids

but of course, most people don't catch that right away

wouldnt it be Lu because the children's names are all the vowels, and the only one left is a u, therefore, the name is Lu.

The answer is Lee...

It says Lee's parents.... which would make Lee one of the five children. It then tells you the names of the other four children asking you to name the last one.
