Gee What's My Name

Question

Shakeepuddn    4

In from the cold, my story unfolds,

Though fated by a Florentine.

From pauper to gent on my mission sent,

I reveal the proper routine.

With a foolish wooden charge, I went at large,

The magic and tragic I’ve known,

To inhabit a whale of a serious tale,

Where deceit is neatly grown.

In my name, ah! there's the game!

Of bats and princes true.

Ever aware of the toils I dare,

My wonderful wish so blue.

I don't recall the answer to this one having anything to do with Shrek. Who is member 11,616?

I got it.

Member 11,616, initials J.C., age 44

You gotta know, though, Shrek has nearly every single classic fairy tale character in it.

I'm very confident, so I just fullfilled one of my New Year's resolutions! (Check the topic New Year's resolution).

Yeah, you got it. Templeton was first. I ammended it to make it a bit tougher sans the obvious key-words, albeit too late. Stay tuned for more

Bah! I did it again.

Prof T. was referring to Ahab. I should have known better, given his superior patience in checking his own answers. Crow and red herring make for an interesting "mouth feel"

I never would have guessed it if you hadn't done your post first. I was thinking of only classic literature characters. To you goes the assist. :D
