Question

After I found out I could have my own Google page, I started collecting gadgets. One of them was a BrainDen gadget! Than I clicked on the riddle it showed and came here, and instantly got addicted to the "New Puzzles" forum. Only three days ago I discovered that BrainDen is more than that because Andromeda created a riddle with Kathleen as a character. Then, following Kat's signature (I was curious about all these "Mafia" stuff) I went to the "Games" section, which led me to the "Others" section too!

I just love it! I just hope my social life won't be affected ;)

Surprising! That is one of the symptoms of Brainden addiction.

My story:

I was searching for puzzles in Google, to practice for my aptitude tests, the first round of my campus recruitment program. I stumbled upon Rookie's page and I was looking at the Pears puzzle. I followed the link and came to BD forum, I guess. I wanted to put forward an argument that the answer was wrong, so I registered. But then I realized I was wrong and left it at that. The next day I again visited the den to see if I could solve any of the puzzles and I wanted to start a topic, incidentally it was the son and mother riddle. And gradually I lost myself in the den, thanks to the addictive puzzles and now the games. :P

BTW the reason I joined BD was to help me in getting the job and I got it. So BD's much more than a forum for me, it has proved to be my mentor, lucky charm and much more. :D

Hi, my name is Impervious and I'm a BranDenaholic. I too came form a Google gadget.

Like most of us I decided to sign up to solve some riddles and keep myself mentally stimulated. Became even more involved when I joined debates on topics such as tattoos, relationship advice, religion, and others. The finally decided to take part in these Mafias I saw occurring so frequently. And now, here I sit, typing this instead of working, just to share my story.

Ah, well lets see...about a year ago I got Igoogle, and totally fell in love with it. I added brain teasers gadget cause it looked cool, and it stayed there for about...2 months without much notice. One day, in the morning, a puzzle that I thought was interesting appeared, but when I came back to my computer, it had changed! Furious and curious, I went looking for it through the forums. I never did find it -_- BUT I checked out the page of a one "Unreality", and saw he had posted this topic called "Mafia". That being my favourite party game (we played it in drama since grade 3), I instantly wanted to join. Realizing that it was halfway through Mafia III, I applied for a backup, and later joined the mafia girls in Mafia IV. After that...well lets just say I'm hosting :D

Hello, I am a Braindenaholic. I have been using Brainden for... jeez, a while. I started off small, like so many others, just a quick puzzle or brain teaser to get me by. I had it on my iGoogle, and I kept myself to just the New Puzzles then. I didn't realize back then what I was getting into.

Soon enough, I'd followed the puzzle I was working on to the New Puzzles forum, and decided I wanted to see what some of the classics were. I ran into a couple Prof. Templeton puzzles, some Y-San puzzles, and then followed the forum down to the Games section. I didn't know what this "mafia" was back then, so I started to read through a few of them. It wasn't anything bad, I just lurked a little, and read through the (EPIC) posts. Finally, I managed to help to help solve one of the harder puzzles, and mentioned Mafia in the thread. Before long I was applying to Heroes games, getting invited to a Rematch with the Death Note Mafia, and having a blast.

A couple days ago a group called Spectre swung a lynch vote against me, and got me killed in the second day of a Mafia game. I was, for the first time since I started, dead in the only game I was playing. This is when I realized I had a problem...

Yes the one where Kat and I were in -_- I was the one that solved the puzzle in 1 minute but in real life it took me forever <_<

Hi!! I'm Prince Marth and I'm a Braindenaholic!! :D As with many people here, I got here through IGoogle. Started out on a few new puzzles and then for a while I stopped. Then came back again when I saw Frost's Word Puzzles and did those. One thing I saw a lot of was the "Mafia" games but they never really seemed to catch my interest at the time. Then came Itachi's Anime Battle Royale games. Needless to say I was hooked from there and have been here regularly ever since and have extended beyond ABR into other games as well as hosting.

Edit: Grammar

Let me take this time to introduce the cure for the Brainden addiction: it's called a "Life". This "Life" can be found almost anywhere. The requirements are

1) Communication with people without typing

2) A lack of computer

3) Lots and lots of murder mystery books

Now this so called "life" cannot take effect unless you stop playing mafia and/or solving murder/math riddles. No refunds, Kat is not responsible for any hair pulling, driving to internet cafes, constant email checking or other side effects.

Life without a computer? :o

Impossible!

I found brainden after my brother (Pw0nzd) showed me Mafia V. It looked cool so about 6 months later I started browsing as a guest, then finally became a member.

Now i'm starting my own mafia game around Christmas. :D

Wow, reading back, it's quite funny how everyone learned about BD through Google. I, for one, was dragged into the BD life by the one and only Kat <_< It all started with Kat talking about killing people, plans on how to kill the most number of people, trying to find out who the "mafia" is...well, as a loving friend, I started to get worried. Then I joined BD, and look where that got me now. I need some anti-BD pills... :P
