My guess

Avimelech who had 70 of his half-brothers killed to be king, with only one escaping. Avimelech was killed in a revolt.

Esav, Who was rightfully first born to Yakov until he sold his birthright to Yakov for a bowl of lentil soup.

In either of the stories I don't know where the number 5 comes in.

Not Esau or Abimelech.

Paul of Tarsus?

Followed by five latter apostles: Barnabas, Silas, Apollos, Andronicus and Junia.

Quenched his thirst as a persecutor of Christians.

The first author of New Testament scripture but listed latter in Biblical canon. First to testify of Jesus being resurrected and responsible for spreading Christianity (one remained alive).

Maybe?

Interesting reasoning, but the answer is not Paul (Saul of Tarsus).
