Question

Hopefully all the bugs have been worked out by the first "5 Letter Word Search", so this one should be less prone to error. The rules are the same. I've put together a list of 26 common five letter words (except for X maybe, but I'm sure you'll get it), one for each letter of the alphabet. The letters in each word are not repeated and there are no plural words (no "books" for example). The list below shows you which letters every word shares with the other 25 words. The five letter word that starts with A shares 5 letters in common with the five letter word that starts with B, 3 letters with the word that starts with C, and one with the D word. Your job is to find out what the words are.

u forgot E ;)

well, if I'm correct with A/B, there's no E in the H word, so I think that one stands.

edit:

AMBLE/BLAME reduces the options for H to djnoswy, so I'll definitely agree with amanda's HOWDY

Fitz, yeah I was just about to fix that

Hosed or Howdy, the correct letters were

dejmnoswy

Of the two I'd put my bets on hosed.

Howdy

Vague because it shares two letters with Amble/Blame and no letters with howdy, none of the 0 letters, DHJKMW. I don't think there are horribly many five lettered words,

C = Clean

L = Lance

that's the second pair! and I was just coming on to post it!. It agrees with the first pair, too.

I thought I liked that one...but it doesn't work with E/M.

E shares one letter with AMBLE (the E), so there is no M, but M shares 2 letters with AMBLE, so M has an E

M shares 4 letters with E (everything except the M)

E shares one letter with V (vague?), and M shares no letters with V. So there must not be an E in the V-word.

I came up with 8 A-words that contain B but don't have H or N. The only one I can anagram into a B word is

AMBLE --> BLAME

Both Correct!
