I thought I had it too from #1, #3 and #4, but then I am not so certain after trying for the others.

Here's what I have:

1 - Sun Myung Moon (Sun, or Moon)

2 - Divine Principle

3 - Mars Bonfire (Mars)

4 - Freddie Mercury (Mercury)

5 - ? Castro, Kennedy, ICBM, IRBM?

6 - ? The Who, or Tommy ?

7 - ? The Police or Sting?

I agree. Spent all night on this one and can't get past where I was. Thought it might be the planets, but don't see how it fits. Also thought it might be gods of a myth, but not fleshing that out either.

1. I have no idea. The answer here must be Sun as it is the origin of Sunday and it also fits as the first name 'Sun Myung Moon' that's hinted to in question 2.

2. Again, not really sure. But I hear 'Korean' and 'church leader', and I think 'Sun Myung Moon'

3. Mars Bonfire was in Steppenwolf, most famous for their song 'Born to be Wild'

4. Freddie Mercury

5. The missiles were 'Jupiter' missiles.

6. The song 'Venus' from 'Shocking Blue' starts with a riff borrowed from 'Pinball Wizard'.

7. In the video 'Walking on the Moon', Stewart Copeland strikes his drumsticks on a Saturn V moon rocket.
