I liked peace*out's telling a common joke in riddle form, so I decided to try my own. Hopefully this is a common enough joke that most people have heard it.
Listen while I tell you the story
of unfortunate travelers and their demise so gory.
A brace of legumes the travelers were
in shady streets they caused a stir.
Stop right there, I know this fable.
Whether from the sea or table,
a hydrogenated metal’s flow
covered travelers from head to toe.
This joke appears briefly in one of Monty Python's "And Now For Something Completely Different" sketches.
