## Question

During vacation it rained on 13 days

Every rainy morning was followed by a fine afternoon

Every rainy afternoon was preceded by a fine morning

There were 12 rainy mornings, and

11 rainy afternoons.

How long was the vacation??

Make sence??

It makes perfect sense. Your original post, however, does not.

Well, the conditions on the problem are different than what is in the OP, which changes the result completely. using the same letters and applying to the OP. We automatically know that a = 12, and b = 11. So already just adding them together at the end gives 23. (and we haven't even added in C yet (which could be 0, since the OP doesn't mention there are any clear days)

This contradicts the statement in the OP that it rained on 13 days though. Bring on the paradox.

The OP was written incorrectly. It said there were twelve rainy mornings and eleven rainy afternoons. The other problem says twelve fine mornings and eleven fine afternoons. This changes a lot.

I think the whole solution changes when you change the original OP, so... Is this one of those cases???

there could be, however an infinite amount of vacation days

...which is something that i personaly would love and enjoy beyond thought.
