How about Japan for #6? 4 works, 6 i wont go with though. it was that in the clues that long and tall meant which way the stripes go, as japan has no stripes i cannot accept this as an alternative answer. OK, I was thinking Japan could be considered a single stripe of white (either up or across, occupying the whole flag) with a cherry in the middle! But if you want white stripes, what's wrong with Denmark? I don't think England could be considered to have white stripes any more than Japan does - it's a white background with a red cross...
