0 Prof. Templeton
I could be totally wrong and off on a crazy tangent dealing nothing with this, but is it possible I am on the right track with this ? ONLYAILE MINSPSSO IIUCSILF TPALEFSA WHOHARIL CATTBMGT EBEEATLU EFEDNAMA Sort of. Two hints are provided in the title of the puzzle The first word at the top of your list is the first word in the quote. It appears as it should because it is a four letter word. I beleive the correct answer is: No. That may be the correct answer for some.

Back to the drawing board. You're on the right track with direction, there's a little more to it and you're steps are in the wrong order. Take a look at what tgreene83 has as the correct first word. It is only correct because it's a four letter word.
0 Guest
You're on the right track with direction, because I tried the other direction, too!there's a little more to it and you're steps are in the wrong order. 0 HoustonHokie
I'm pretty sure I know the quote by now, but I still can't get the pattern to work - yet.the last name of the source begins with "D" - is that right, Professor? If I'm on the right track, I think you may have an extra "C" and are missing an "L". Either that, or your quote and mine differ by just those two letters. Where I'm getting stuck is on the seventh word - I just can't seem to find where it goes.

As for the sourceyou'll have to ask Itachi-san

As for the sourceyou'll have to ask Itachi-san I know the source isn't given, but I thought that indicating that I know who it is might show that I've correctly guessed the quote. And if you think that I've had time to follow a disappearing riddle after Mr. Ike came to town, well, I had to make a choice - refrigerator or cable modem on the generator! As for the sourceyou'll have to ask Itachi-san Well, now I know the quote, maybe I can work in reverse to figure out how to obtain it. And I agree with HH on the C/L thing (and the source) (Welcome back, HH! I'd wondered if you'd been Iked. 0 Guest
is to look at topline reverse bottomline topline reverse bottomline right side (where's the L?) reverse left side (where's the A?) right side (where's the E?) reverse left side then start in on the seond line. But I lose it from there. And in each case, the (where's the ?) is located in the corner of the next square. But I don't know why I should be looking there! I got as far as the first right side and stopped - glad you showed how the pattern continues. I've got two questions, though, about how you ended: which E to use (top right/bottom left)? why isn't the other used yet? I figure if I can get "capable" to work, I might figure it out. But there are too many A/E/L to choose from right now! (not to mention an extra C ) ), but I'm glad I didn't have vacation property in Galveston!!Thanks for your warm welcomes back to the Den - Ike wasn't too bad here on the west side of town (no power for 5 days, no cable/telephone/internet for 10 days - thanks, Comcast CL - I always suspected that you might be a friend of Mr. Jefferson - now I know for sure! Hope you're enjoying the fall foliage back home (only two seasons down here!)

I'll try to include a picture of my next guesses (including capable). But they are really guesses! Yeah, TJ and I are old pals. But I'm curious about how you had linked us previously! I spent 2 years in So. Tx., and I did miss those seasons. I'll remember that when I'm raking leaves this weekend.

You never responded to my Hoki Hoki Hoki Hi, so I figured you weren't a Hokie, anyway! Next best guess is a Hoo from Hooville. BTW, if you want to give up raking leaves, you can always come down here with us and melt in humidity! Of course, none of this is helping me figure out the rest of the professor's pattern!!! 0 Guest
To continue Cherry Lane's picture... It is sort of in rainbow order, repeated twice (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, magenta, red, etc.). It still seems a little haphazard I figured out how to post a picture!
