0 Guest
I am two things, but can only be one, and both of us can make things run, we are similar by name, yet nothing alike. What Are We Called? A couple. Note: This is a answer. Your riddle is vague enough so many things could fit; to get the right answer you must ask the right question. A couple is two things, but can only be one, both of them can make things run, they are similar in name (a "Man" + "Woman") yet nothing alike. 0 Guest
My guess would be this: Ethanol and Methanol... Two things, but are same - alcohol. They both make things run - vehicles... They sound the same, but are nowhere same. Well, there are a lot of possibilities for this question. The question is sort of vague.

The two words are homographs. OK! So let me get this strait those two words are spelled the same way, but have a different pronunciation and a different meaning. On the other side there are also HOMONYMS that are spelled and pronounced the same way and have a different meaning. You said homograph, I'm just making sure you didn't mean homonym! Nice riddle! You finally made it a bit more difficult! EDIT: colors Edited September 29, 2008 by andromeda
