Do spaces matter? I mean do you mean characters (_ _ _ _) or letters. If it is Roman numerals, you could go MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM (ect.) just wondering. <_<

to clarify, do you mean the length of the word is four letters, or four letters of the alphabet are used in the word? I couldn't quite tell for certain from the previous posts.

Yes to both

also, by 'largest' i assume you mean highest value, not biggest length. if it was the second, we could just say something like pi or another irrational and be done.

Highest value

Yes to both

Highest value

does this mean that each letter is used once?? <_<

The answer is four letters long and each letter is a different one from the others. Does that help or is there something else?

e^(e^(e^e))

The number has about one million digits. When you write the number on a paper you don`t write the symbols, you just write smaller 'e's, so it's just using 4 letters, right?

If greek letters are allowed, you could use pi's and it would be even higher.

May i ask where the 'e's come from??

e is an irrational number with an approximate value of 2.71828. e^e^e^e is approximately 528462751.

This is sort of an underground number, and you may have to do some digging.

Infinity

using four letter C's you move them around to make the infinity symbol

...unless you say that 'infinity is a concept'

What is the largest known number that can be written with only four letters?

FOUR --- because it's the largest number where the number of letters equals the number itself.. ?
