Well if you pronounce the letters in sequence, notice that you form 'O' in the middle of your mouth, 'E' closer to the front, 'N' with the tip of your tongue and 'P' with your teeth on your lip. Thus each of these numbers are created closer and closer to the outside of your mouth. The next letter then could be either B, M or P, all letters that are created only using your lips. 0 Guest Posted April 23, 2008 Report Share Posted April 23, 2008 I think the answer is O. Here is why: The corresponding letters, as someone else pointed out, are 15, 5, 14, 22, respectively. There is a sequence to the letters- o(15) subtracts 10 to go back to e(5), then e(5) adds 9 to get to n(14), then adds 8 to get up to v(22). So the pattern is a descending -10, +9, +8... then next number is 7. It should be -7 (because +7 would be 29, for which there is no letter) so 22-7 = 15- which is the letter O. I came up with three words that this could be the start of Braid, Braille, or Brain. Brain seems the most logical to me and would result in a missing letter of A, Braid would be (Q) and Braille would have a next letter of (Y). When lining up the letters backwards under one another, E and V meet one another, O and L meet one another, as does N and M.
