Question

Hi,

I was given a maths problem by a friend and can't work it out. Maybe one you can (don't worry, I'm not going to take credit). Here it is:

Cut the cross into 12 pieces that are exactly the same shape. You are alowed unlimited cuts.

An image should be attached if I can work out how.

BTW, if you imagine the cross as 5 squares, they all have the same demensions.

4 cuts... cut each block on the diagonal...

Forgot to mention... make sure to cut each of the 6 boxes out as well...

Ah... but I just noticed... a 5 box cross... not a 6 box cross...

forgive me I'll get back to solving.
