A boy was 12 years old in 1982. THE SAME BOY was 7 years old in 1987. How is this possible?

EDIT: oops i meant 7 years old, but the riddle isn't really changed.

BC it would have to be calculated in months before and after his birthdays to make up the seven year difference...or Im wrong

It was BC. (Chaelpaddy had it. The math actually makes sense if you just count the years. 1987 would have been 5 years before 1982, thus, the 5 year age difference. There is no seven year difference.)

born feb 29, 1970

4yrs and 1 yr feb 29, 1974

8yrs and 2 yrs feb 29, 1978

12 yrs and 4 yrs feb 29, 1982

16 yrs and 5 yrs feb 29, 1986

therefore 5 yrs in 1987

There are multiple answers, but this is likely what you're looking for. Time is decreasing in value. Likely this is due to the time period being based on BC (Before Christ >.>) rather then AD (Anno Domini >.>)

8 1986BC

9 1985BC

10 1984BC

11 1983BC

12 1982BC
