Think about it. I am comparing the temperature of my home to the temperature of the outdoors. My home gets hotter as the outdoors gets colder. If the riddle had been "What gets hotter as it cools?" the answer would have been a heat sink, but since it says "as it gets colder" you have to assume there are 2 different things it is referring to. This is super close and I guess could be considdered correct, but not really my answer is an air conditioner, it gets colder in your house and the air conditioner gets hotter. anyway no one has gotten remotely close to #4, continue your guesses.
