This is a surprisingly great answer. I'll need some clarification on the needle part though. My understanding is that a pendulum can be attached to a needle, but it's usually secured with more substantial means like giant nails. It doesn't move when you're not using it. The zipper needs to be attached to cloth (or some material) so that the handle can be moved back and forth smoothly (without the zipper flailing about like spaghetti).
