I live on mountains, in forests, near rivers and on snow,

Mammals can be one of my foe,

I wait at rivers to catch fish,

But this is not my only dish,

Sometimes a walrus can be a delicous treat,

But sometimes I seriously don't eat meat,

Humans can be considered their foe, as many are an endangered species due to human activities.

They can feed on a large mammal like a walrus, since they only eat dead creatures and don't hunt or kill their prey

They can and do eat any type of food since they are omnivorous.

Eagle has posted earlier that the answer is not any sort of animal (including insects etc).
