For there to be any dirt there would have to be a "hole" new dimension

It depends whether its "holey"

You're glad you read this just like you wish you had a hole in the head

lol

This answer is just wrong. Imagine you have a hole that you then fill with 60 Christmas presents. How many Christmas presents are there in the hole? Are you seriously telling me that the hole ceases to exist when it's filled with presents? What if it's filled with water, is it then not a hole?

The correct answer to this question is 96 x pi.

If it's filled with water, then it's a pond, a lake or a pool.

I am a newbie here, but it seems to me that people are very eager to become smart ar*es with each posting, picking holes in the question and generally trying for one up(wo)manship - clearly not in the spirit of the puzzle setter.

I'm the kind of person who likes to fit in, so original poster - please define dirt. Assuming that the hole is dug outside, we'd need to know how clean the air is and find some way of measuring the quantity of airborne dirt in a representative sample. This quantity will obviously change from location to location - for example city centre to rural and possibly upon the altitude and temperature of the surroundings.

only joking - just wanted to say hi :P
