Guest
I hold strong 'gainst the mighty ocean; kite-like at the gape, or possibly diamond too. Each of me is round in shape, and a tiny food. Feared by sailors that can't escape, their ships are slowed down and changed shape. Powerful wind and waves cannot move me, but children pick me up easily, and throw me back into the sea. What am I? o and ill try and get more verses if this is not enough, but english rhymin is not that easy hehe. ill post the answer after some people have tried

0 Guest
kelp? Hold's strong to the ocean floor, but is lifted toward the surface like a kite. It doesn't really have a mouth, but if you consider the fronds near the surface to be the "mouth" eating sunlight it is kitelike with a diamondlike blade shape. The gas bladders are round, and kelp is used a lot in asian cooking. Kelp forests can really tangle up unsuspecting boats slowing them down. And the dead stuff sits on the beach all the time, and can easily be thown back into the ocean.
