0 Guest
There is a 10% possibility that the 90% statistic isn't true according to itself. How did you get the 42%?

This really should be posted elsewhere, but since no moderator has put it in a different section yet.... This is a really easy question, and I think you're just missing the point. 140% of people don't understand statistics at all, and it looks like you're one of them. Don't stress, because 4 out of 3 people don't understand fractions either. That's because there's 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary and those who don't. Anyway, the answer is 42. The answer is ALWAYS 42. TTFN!

I understand and am perfectly fine with Martini moving this topic, but I don't want it to be locked on account of stupidity. Let's at least make this semi-intuallectual. <_<

A friend of mine used to request info from managing directors on a various subjects, when they ran short of time , the widened there search ar changed the research to get there quota, perhaps these factors are taken into account. When you pay a company to come up with a quota of figures based on a certain number of employed workforce, and a certain number of offices/factories and other criteria, when time runs out it becomes a case of 'that'll do' put it in and get the job done my 2 euro cents sorry out of US cents and even the lesser spotted common sense! Basically i don't really trust those kind of figures.
0 Guest
Usually statically problems occur when your sample is too small or not representative of the population. The smaller the sample the larger the standard error.
0 Guest
Like my maths teacher used to say, "There's lies, damn lies, and statistics". PS. I'm all for keeping things semi-intellectual. That's totally my level
