Can you place 6 X's on a Tic Tac Toe board without placing 3 in a row?

I'm sure someone's got it by now, It's like 3 pages so far

my solution would be to put them in the squares adjacent to the center square, ie making a "plus" sign except for the middle square. Then put the next two in either topleft-bottomright or topright-bottomleft opposite corners

Yeah, it's easy. I didn't think it would get this much attention actually. I think the trick of it is that most people initially have to place an X in the center (some experience-based brain function) and then it's harder to think of excluding the center box.

I think most people got too technical with the word ROW as opposed to the spirit of the puzzle "no three in a straight line"

All you have to do is make sure that the o's divide the tic-tac-toe in half, so that you can not have 3 x's in a row.
