Happy April 15th....a sad day for American tax payers but a happy day for people who know who "I" am... ---------------------------------- They called me a bum But they called all of the people I was around bums too They called me worse things Things I can't repeat here But I found a way to carry on. They called me "ROY" The first one ever, in fact They called me 3 other letters 2 years later They called me a champion 53 years ago. But I already felt like a champion on this date, 61 years ago. I'm not the answer to life, the universe and everything, But I wore that label proudly No one else wears that now Because of all I did. And I'll always be the first, and I'll always be remembered. If so, although his number was retired in 1997, the last baseball player to wear number 42, Mariano Rivera of the New York Yankees, is currently still playing. But still a great riddle! You are correct! And I didn't know about the grandfather clause with Rivera. There's been others, including last year on this date, who used the number too.
