Question

Ok this riddle is fairly easy doesnt really take much thinking to understand the answer:

A man went before a judge for his sentence to prison the judge being fair told him that if he makes a statement that is true he will give him four years, but if he made a statement that was false he would give him six, the man said his statement and the judge set him free, how is this possible???

This exact same topic was just posted except instead of 4yrs vs 6yrs, it was shot vs hanged.

Next time do a forum search for previously posted material. In this case maybe statement+"set free"
