Does a big-shot mafioso have a

Gaude Chile (along the lines of Jimi Hendrix's Voodoo Chile)

Since the Arabian clue is more spouse than reception, and moms and dads are generally spouses

Saudi Pop (although that kind of reception might get me into even more trouble than Wilson)

Or how about this twisted Byzantine

Spline-Turk

hey T - realized the Andalusian is a horse as well as an adjective describing a certain population so the mount bit along with "fast track" is just a smoke screen.  Mount of a different kind is relevant to the answer.  Also, these Andalusians are not contemporary.  And finally, since this one is a toughie, it might be best to attack the meaning of "fast track" first (again nothing re horses).

And your second one's not the same as mine tho mine is a food stuff.

hey plasmid - your first above, wellll, nah

your second one is very good and potentially an alternative.  My "spouse" is either he or she

and the third just aint twisted enough

Hey Thalia - gonna go with three out of four correct in your two responses above.  Not yet on the Arabian.  Should have said that plasmid was half right on his last stab at that one.

Spoiler for a little more on the Byzantine one

Turk (torque) wrench - booooo, yeah said that one was weak

Bumping the thread since it's almost off the first page of threads.

Still don't have an answer but a summary of hints for anyone trying:

Arabian Spouse Reception

Spoiler

Arabian and Spouse give an answer that relates to a reception

One of the words is either Saudi or Pop

The spouse is a gender specific term

Guessing but not 100% certain that the nationality is probably Saudi

Hmm. . .

Hey hey you two - Wilson, know it's been a while since you posted the above but gotta say, very clever as always - indeed too clever for me.  And just reviewed these and only now do I fully get your previous stab at this one.  Always been fifty fifty on the spelling of that arid wasteland or after meal treat.  Love it.

T - thanks for the bump.  All's true in your spoiler above with the exception that the spouse is not gender specific.

Cheers

Hiya Thalia - Not the same as what I was originally thinking.  But like many other prior responses, quite clever.  And punny.  Like it.  Here's a couple of alternative clues:

An attractive East African - or - Stolen from the Horn of Africa

Arabian spousal reception - or - A greeting for a Riyadhi business associate
