Half as old as my brother

Question

Is it true that no matter how much older one sibling is to the other; eventually, the younger sibling will be half as old as the older?

both siblings survive till the day the younger sibling is as old as the older sibling was when the young one was born.

Whew... that was quite a mouthful.

i was thinking it would be false if both were born on he same day, but even here it would be true, because they can't be born at exactly the same time.

fair point.  I was thinking twins would be the exception but I agree with you Phil.

To put a finer point, if two siblings are two cells (or particles) resulting from splitting of the mother cell into two, then none is older.

Are we assuming a mammalian birth process?

Then splitting is in utero, and age origin is time of birth.

When in Thailand...

Siamese twins are born at the same time.

First reaction is that must hurt.

If I wanted to be nit-picky (me?) the head of one might precede that of the other.

Point taken.
