Manish , your reasoning for the sequence would hold true till 21 .

But the next number is 137 . How would you arrive at that ?

There are a wide array of prime numbers after 21 .

If you have an explanation , please do post it .

And according to my reasoning , 21 is not the answer .

And I did not follow this path of reasoning.

Try . But not the answer . Actually Noct was AGONIZINGLY close . The stress on the word Agonizing is the hint.

I cannot be more clear without giving away the answer .

This one's actually easy.
