Lekker = yummy (tastey) Dutch

Stacking and/or folding get you more pieces.

They're not forbidden in the OP.

Imran, [post 25]

I'm not sure how you get your results for 4 and 5 cuts.

Can you make a sketch?

My results are valid for only fat pan cakes like

here is my solution

Otherwise with stacking we should double the pieces with every cut. So general solution will be 2 to the power N.

If folding is also allowed then I guess we cannot find an exact answer as it depends on how much we fold.

They´re not pancakes, they`re yorkshire puddings!

I hate small pcs of pancake - 20/12 daughter eats them faster than I can count them.

I cant count any way, but unravelling awkward little pcs of stuck together pancake - 3 rd experiment later

I rolled up a pancake and made one cut - result six pcs.

Interesting - could have made eight, but greed prevented further tests.

How many more pcs can you get with three more cuts to go?

Anything conclusive on this yet BN?

I rolled one that was ultra thin and cut it then left rolled and folded over several times and cut again. In practical terms this is messy, not to mention waste of a good pancake (again). thus I produced ten pcs with first cut and x 6 with second = 60.

If I could have stacked them easily, then I would have doubled and doubled again (240).

Theory is probably thousand or so - oh gosh or oh - CRUMBS!

I'll cut up paper in future rather than ruin more pancakes!

It all depends on if you like pancakes or ..............

...................not.

So if you hate them you cut them up into little pcs?

Or you don't hate them - and you cut them as little as possible but preferably a Coup de grace! Merciful death and destroy the evidence by eating!
