Question

A noteworthy response, or mere slip of the brain

Now wait just a second then there it goes again

Perhaps you nailed it, with a change in direction

Diplomatically speaking, just a loose connection

Take all the credit, when credit is due

Exclaim in surprise, not a point to construe

FWIW - some links for an idea as to my style re these single couplet riddles:

an idea

technically it's Three by Two :D cause each "riddle" has only two lines ;) .. unless the title it's by itself a hint ..

creation or authorship

Edit... had some new ideas ;)

second edit is for typos on the 1st one

Pause?

Actually, Stammer + Hammer works better for 1 and 2...

EDIT2: 3 = clamor/glamor?

Methinks that's 3 correct from 3 answers. Do you know tonight's lotto numbers? Seriously, nicely done.

Nice riddle! I hope to see more riddle triads/dyads from people; sorry my computer was kind of being troublesome when this was posted!
